Matching Pair of Hongshan Neolithic Yellow Jade Birdlike Pendants - Liaoning Province
Matching Pair of Hongshan Neolithic Yellow Jade Birdlike Pendants. A very impressive pair of ancient pendants with correct manufacture and excellent patination. These were without question made by the same artist and from the same jade source – perhaps the same chunk of jade. The polish on these two pieces is finely done. On their backs is the image of a face deeply and intricately expressed in the stone. The holes are correctly drilled with patination build up on the inside of them. These two pendants were found together in Liaoning Province Northeast China. Approx. 3000 B.C.. Both measure approximately 2 1/8" tall.
Condition: Ancient Authentic
