3 7/16 Modern Flint Ridge Dovetail w/ Perino COA. Most likely made by Roy Miller. Copper flaking consistent with Roy’s work which I have only seen a couple other knappers in recent years get close to. Roy made beautiful dovetails and is the most popular flint knapper in the United States over the past 3 decades. Made of a gem quality flint ridge chalchedony excavated in recent times across the road from the visitors center at Flint Ridge State Park in Ohio. Evidently one of the previous owners had been told it was modern or they noticed that it just didn’t quite look like their old dovetails at some point because there is a note on the back of the paper stating that they had Greg verify that it was one he papered. There were also forged Perino papers at the time in circulation with modern points attached so that may also have been a reason for its return to Greg to verify. Comes with a Perino COA from 2002.
