6" Spanish Colonial 16th-17th Century Inca Kero Cup
Spanish Colonial 16th-17th Century Kero Cup from Peru. Used by the Inca and their descendants to drink chicha – a type of fermented corn beer. Carved from dense hardwood with conical shape flaring towards the top, small incised band near rim and at the base. Splits in the wood as is often the case with these very old cups. Measures a little over 6" tall with a 4 5/8" rim diameter.
