Roman Era Gaulish Bronze Statuette of a Horned Goddess 5th Century BCE to 5th Century CE
Roman Era Gaulish Bronze Statuette of a Horned Goddess 5th Century BCE to 5th Century CE. The Gaulish people, part of the Celtic culture, were active during the Iron Age and Roman periods, roughly from the 5th century BCE to the 5th century CE. Their bronze artifacts, including tools, weapons, and decorative items, were primarily produced during this time. The craftsmanship of Gaulish bronze reflects their advanced metalworking skills and artistic traditions. This is an ancient piece with excellent patination. The head appears to have been reattached at some point. Statue measures approximately 4" tall. It is firmly seated on a wood platform. Ex Dave Wally Collection.
