Published by Gay Brothers & Co, New York 1881. Cover has much wear. Front cover is detached holding pages up to the Preface. Those pages up to and including the title page have damage as shown in photos from the front cover being detached. Internally from the preface on it is still nice. A rare book. Lossings updated his books as time passed including significant events. This one going up to the death of President Garfield is hard to find. From the late Larry Innis Collection.
