Pre-Columbian Pottery Tripod Bowl Circa 200-1250 C.E. 5 7/8" Tall x 8 1/4" Wide. This type of vessel was often a sacred ceremonial object used in rituals, with the hollow legs sometimes containing rattles to create sound during ceremonies. It is characterized by its burnished slip and red and white geometric patterns, a style typical of the region’s ceramics. A solid pot with no restoration with only minor damage to the rim.
