Lot 93:
4 1/4" Gray Tabular Blade found in Scottland County, Mo
A prehistoric knife blade made from gray tabular chert, found in Clark County, Missouri by Rodney Gray. This example measures approximately 4¼" and shows typical bifacial flaking for the region. While not finely worked, it is a solid, functional blade and a good size for tabular chert, which often limits the length of finished tools. A representative Missouri artifact with good material and provenance.Material: Gray tabular chertLength: approx. 4¼"Culture: Archaic–WoodlandFindspot: Clark County, MissouriProvenance: Ex?Rodney GrayCondition: Intact; workmanship consistent with utilitarian blades
