Pre-Columbian Tripod Bowl, ca. 300 BCE–600 CE
Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican tripod pottery bowl from the Tom Moxley Collection, dating approximately 300 BCE–600 CE. The vessel features three rounded legs, four applied rim lugs, and a deeply incised geometric diamond-pattern band around the lower body. Hand-formed low fire earthenware with mineral accretions and a well developed archaeological patina. A classic example of ancient Mesoamerican ceramic tradition. Dimensions: approx. 6 3/4" diameter and 4 3/4" tall. Condition: Wear consistent with archaeological age, including surface abrasion, mineral deposits, and firing irregularities. One section of the rim is missing, as shown in photos. No visible restoration. Ex Tom Moxley Collection.
