Native American Artifacts & Collectibles
Lot 74:
4" Peiskar Diamond Blade found in Adair County, Missouri w/ COA
4" Peiskar Diamond Blade found in Adair County, Missouri. Demonstrates correct manufacture and excellent patination. Ex Phil Jackson Collection. The Phil Jackson listed in the provenance on the COA is a long-time Adair County, Missouri collector known for handling genuine old material. He has no connection to Bill Jackson, the controversial authenticator/dealer whose modern reproductions and COAs later led to the Bogel scandal. Bill Jackson’s reputation stems from papering both modern and authentic artifacts because many collectors – unaware of the issue – sent him real old pieces for opinions, creating long-term confusion in the market. This artifact comes from the Phil Jackson collection and is not associated with that history. *Any COA accompanying this artifact is part of the original collection documentation and does not imply endorsement of the issuing party. We do not recognize or rely on any external authenticators. Items are listed for sale based on our own professional evaluation and judgment of age and origin. When our assessment differs from the COA, our evaluation takes precedence.
