Late 1800's European Souvenir Coin Purse Mother of Pearl and Metal Frame
Victorian era European coin purse marked Souvenir on the lid. The purse features mother of pearl panels set into a decorative stamped metal frame with scalloped edges and a side mounted clasp. The interior opens to reveal two red fabric compartments separated by a metal divider. The metal edges visible inside are part of the original frame construction.Measures approximately 3 1/2 inches by 2 3/8 inches by 5/8 inch. Condition is excellent for its age with clean mother of pearl, a tight hinge, and well preserved interior fabric. No repairs or alterations noted. A well made example of a continental European souvenir accessory from the Victorian period.
