The Bluejacket’s Manual United States Navy by Norman R. Van Der Veer. Published by UNITED STATES NAVAL INSTIT., ANNAPOLIS, MD., 1917. Fifth Edition. For its age and its issue in military use good condition. Cover is faded with a little wear along the board edges. Internally the first owner repeatedly practiced writing his first name "William" for some reason and seemed to do it on every blank page as if he was trying to remember who he was. Internally it does seem to be intact with weapons schematics for most of the soldier weapons that would require maintenance during the War (World War 1 Manual). Publishers original blue or grey cloth hardback with gold gilt. 821 pgs
