58" LARGE African Baule Female Statue – Late 19th to early 20th Century. This statue depicts a woman sitting. Likely a fertility statue used by the natives of Baule. This statue is an awesome piece of african artistry hand carved from wood. It appears to be all made from one very large log. Overall condition is very good. Pony tail on the back of the head has been glued on with a minor blemish here and there. Artistic statues this size rarely make it to this side of the world from the African Cultures.
