17th Century Christian Mold Church Cookie, Pottery or Gingerbread – Christ on the Cross. In the old world during the 17th Century Church’s would use artistic molds to bake communion and other religious meaningful cookies, clays and gingerbread for Church Holidays. This is a cookie or clay that was made long ago with one of those molds. An old example of Christian symbolic baking. This piece measures 6 1/4" tall. Appears fragile but is still intact with a partial crack that we glued to keep it from breaking further. This is a very old mold cookie from the Schwabish Gmunder Antiquities Collection.
