Antique Hand Carved Buddhist Deity Vajrapani w/ Food Dog Mask Idol/Statue with Fire Aureole. For its age (likely 1800’s to early 1900’s) this carving is from one solid piece of wood in excellent condition. Fading and wear to paint commensurate with age. The statue depicts a dancing Buddhist God wearing a Foo Dog Mask w/ fire coming from the top of its head and out from the sides of its legs. Very nice piece of old Asian art. Measures 15 3/4" tall and over 10" wide Small piece of wood missing from shoulder collar as shown in photo.
