9 1/4" Antique Intricately Hand Carved Wood Asian Goddess Seated on a Foo Dog
Antique Intricately Hand Carved Wood Asian Goddess w/ Foo Dog Statue. Highly artistic carving. Hand carved with great detail this is likely a Hindu or Buddhist statue. It depicts a woman/goddess seated on a Foo Dog. The paint appears to be all original with fading and chipping. The carving itself is in very good condition with just a minor piece missing on the back side as shown in photos. At one time the hand raised in the air by the goddess had something placed in it. Perhaps a spear or scepter. The statue measures 9 1/4" tall, 7" wide and 4 1/4" Deep.
