6 1/8" 3/4 Groove Axe - Modern Made
6 1/8" 3/4 Groove Axe – Modern Made. This is a nice axe made by Franklin Fosdick and Gerald Hummel circa 1980’s-1990’s. Their manufacture techniques were unique to them from other stone workers. This is a nice example of their work exhibiting light air hammer pecking across the surface which is easily noticed. Gerald loved to grind and Franklin enjoyed the finish work and they worked together on every piece they made.
