15" Historic Catlinite Pipe – Late 1800’s to Early 1900’s Pipe w/ Original Matching Catlinite Stem. This pipe is a two piece. The pipe (bowl end) is in excellent condition w/ engravings. The stem (also made of catlinite) has engraving and has at some time been broken and glued in two places. Both pieces fit back together nicely but the wood insert as shown in photos that connects the two was broken at some point in this pieces life. The native American that made this used colorful cordage between the two pieces to add more character to the pipe. Ex George Wolf Collection. This piece also comes with the frame it has sat in for years. A very nice 18" by 6" by 3"
