Lot 581:
Early 1900's Stradivarius Style Copy of Josef Guarnerius Violin Made in Germany
Antique Violin Copy of Josef Guarnerius Made in Germany. Good restoration candidate. The wood is still intact without any noticed cracks but she could use a new staining. Tail piece has a chip out of it and it is missing a chin rest. Old case is still sound but not perfect as is the case with most old violin cases. Violin has sticker inside that reads Josef Guarnerius Made in Germany" and another sticker that reads "33". Other violins we looked at suggested circa 1920 but that sticker could mean 1933.?.. We aren’t violin experts but do the best we can in describing them. Not sure what the button is called that the tail piece connects to on the butt of the violin but look at picture 7. Not sure if that is how that is supposed to be or if it is a crack. Selling this one as a fixer upper or for parts. Violin measures 23 3/4"
Condition: Vintage Authentic
