Pre-Columbian Maya Peten Painted Bowl circa 600-900 CE
Made from fine clay, the bowl is painted with vibrant colors of red, black, and orange. The exterior features geometric motifs of zigzag patterns. The bowls were likely used for ceremonial or daily purposes, reflecting the artistry and daily life of the Maya Civilization. The intricate designs and colors are not just decorative but also carry cultural and symbolic meanings, often related to Maya cosmology and beliefs. Condition: Thee is 3 pieces glued back on, 2 small spots missing on the rim in that area, and a small hole on the opposite side. 6" Tall and 8" Wide.
