Lot 197:
RARE 5 5/8" Stone Ulu found North of Detroit, Michigan (Very Sharp)
RARE 5 5/8" Stone Ulu found North of Detroit, Michigan (Very Sharp). A highly developed artifact. Very sharp all along the curved edge. Likely a hard form of slate but could be Specular Hematite. It has a developed ridge along the non cutting side which may have allowed for a hafting but holds nicely in hand and would have functioned just fine as a hand held tool. It exhibits correct manufacture with excellent patination. This is the only one of these we have ever held as this tool type is not found in our part of the midwest. it amazes us at just how sharp this old tool is. It has an edge that compares with the sharper of hemitite artifacts we have seen in Missouri. Ex Dave Dickey. Key words: Ancient, Prehistoric Native American Indian Artifacts, Arrowheads, Stone Tools
Condition: Ancient Authentic
