Two Hemitite Stones found in Pettis County, Missouri
2 Hemitite Stones found in Pettis County, Missouri. Ex George Wolf Collection. One is somewhat shaped like a celt but does not have a sharpened end (most likely a stone used for gathering dust for dyes from. The triangle shaped hemitite piece appers man made but is actually naturally formed that way. One of those things arrowhead hunters cant resist picking up. Both measure around 1 3/4" long.
