Early 19th Century Hand Forged Cadaver Hook or Gaff Hook
Early 19th Century Hand Forged Cadaver Hook or Gaff Hook. Large treble hooks like this are often considered used for dragging for corpses. Given the size of this one it was more likely attached to a pole and used as a gaff to hook fish while hand fishing or for getting a large fish in the boat. It measures approximately 3 1/4" tall.
