Pre 1894 Belgium Flobert Collector Rifle - Victorian Era Display Gun
Pre 1893 Belgium Flobert Collector Rifle. A nice wall hanger. Nice condition for its age with a steel butt plate which many floberts don’t have. Mechanically still works as it should but has an obstructed barrel. The Flobert rifle is a type of single-shot, rimfire rifle that was popular in the late 19th century. These rifles were originally designed by Louis-Nicolas Flobert in France and were later produced in Belgium, Germany, and other countries. Belgian Flobert rifles, in particular, were made in Liege and are known for their quality and craftsmanship. This old gun measures approximately 40" long. No serial number as was the custom for this rifle in the period. It bears the ELG in a circle mark which is 1893 or older.
