Lot 291:
2 Large North Blades that have been broke and glued - restoration candidates
2 Large North Blades that have been broke and glued – restoration candidates. The grey one is made of Permian Uplift chert and was likely found in NW Mo or SW Iowa. Very nice blade but was broke and glued. The second one was found in or near Johnson County, Missouri and is made of Heat Treated Choteau chert. It is a massive example of the type with exceptional flaking but also broke and glued. The deep plow mark suggest both pieces were found seperate and put back together. Both of these are nice examples of the type with good color. They measure 3 5/8" and 4 1/4". Ex Tim Patrick Collection.
