19th Century or Older Fluorite Hand Carved Bowl – Chinese. Chinese artisans have been crafting fluorite bowls for centuries. Fluorite, valued for its believed healing properties and spiritual significance, has been used in various forms, including bowls, since ancient times. In Chinese culture, fluorite was thought to bring mental clarity, spiritual growth, and attract wealth. A very attractive old fluorite bowl with flower motifs. As shown in photos the rim has pieces chipped off. Nice candidate for restoration or correction through carving. Measures 7 7/8" by 6 7/8" and 2 5/8" tall. The Chinese have been crafting bowls from fluorite for centuries.
