Chokwe or Lwena Tribal Mask from Angola Africa – Mid Century or Older. The Chokwe and Lwena (or Lovale) masks are both fascinating pieces of African art, often used in initiation ceremonies and other important cultural events. Very nice condition for its age. Exhibits a polish on the inner part of the mask from use in tribal festivities. From the Chuck and Eileen Hoffman Collection. Measures 10 1/2" by 7 1/2" by 4 1/4" approximately.
