Pre-Columbian Obsidian Blade Core Made in to an Eccentric. In pre-Columbian cultures obsidian blades were made from obsidian. The cores were an end result of this blade manufacture. This core is interesting having been modified by ancient man to form what appears to be an eccentric. The pointed ends suggest that it could also have been formed in this manner to serve as a burin or perforator. It measures 4"
