The Golden Mirror of the Orthodox Lineage of Medicine (Yuzuan yizong jinjian ??????), often referred to simply as the Golden Mirror, is a significant Chinese medical text. It was commissioned by the Qianlong Emperor and first published in 1742 during the Qing Dynasty. This comprehensive medical compendium compiled and synthesized medical knowledge from earlier periods, particularly the Han Dynasty (202 BCE – 220 CE. It aimed to standardize and preserve traditional Chinese medical practices. The Golden Mirror includes a wide range of medical topics, from clinical subjects to textual exegesis, making it a crucial reference for practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine. Over all good condition for their age. Hardback fold over covers that encase 15 Booklets from the Golden Morror collection. Created in the mid 1700’s the pages do have age toning and a some of the books have some tattering and tares to the covers as shown in photos. Hardback fold over covers are in bad shape as shown in the photos. These are very rare books to get a hold of written in Chinese from its period. Contains many wood block prints depicting acupuncture and other methods of healing practices. Filled with Ancient Chinese Secrets. The complete book has 97 chapters. We dont read Chinese but are assuming each of these small booklets are one chapter or volume of the 97.
