Lot 390:
Turquoise, Silver and Glass Arabian Bedouin Bracelet
Saudi Arabian Bedouin Bracelet with silver, turquoise, and glass. From the Najd. Najd is the geographic center of Saudi Arabia, accounting for about a third of the country’s modern population. It is the home of the House of Saud, from which they pursued unification with Hejaz under Saudi rule since the time of the Emirate of Diriyah. This bracelet is most likely late 19th Century to 1950’s. It is in excellent condition for its age with similar stone settings to older Navajo Turquoise Jewelry that was made here in America. Intricately engraved and sturdily constructed. At one time a metal pin or wire would have been inserted through the holes to lock the bracelet in place. This bracelet weighs 2 5/8 ounces or 75 grams. The faceting of the turquoise in the silver is very similar to Old Pawn Navajo Jewelry.
Condition: Ancient Authentic
