15 3/4" Vintage Egyptian Stone Cat Statue - The Goddess Bastet
15 3/4" Vintage Egyptian Cat Statue. Bastet is an ancient Egyptian goddess associated with several aspects, including home, fertility, childbirth, music, and protection. She is often depicted as a lioness or as a woman with the head of a cat. Has the appearance and weight of granite but is a poured stone mix which was hand sculpted after it set. From the Chuck and Eileen Hoffman Collection. Chuck and his wife spent most of their lives teaching in various countries throughout their lives bringing back interesting and often old pieces from the cultures they shared their lives with.
