Pre-Columbian Tairona Culture Pottery Vessel w/ Holed Handles
Pre-Columbian Pottery Vessel w/ Holed Handles. This pot would have had cordage going through the holes on the side handles of the pot for carrying. An unusual pot we arnt sure which culture to designate this piece to. The consensus with collectors we know is that it is Pre-Columbian. Most likely Tairona culture pre-classic 100BC to 100AD. Exhibits unusual manufacture with very good patination. 6 3/8" diameter and 4 3/4" tall. Has a couple minor chips on the rim and a minor chip on one of the handles. Past that it is a solid pot without any restoration.
