Baby Mammoth Tooth found in Northern Missouri
Baby Mammoth Tooth found in Northern Missouri by Jeff Gower. Baby to juvenile baby teeth are a bit more rare than the adults mammoths. Through their life mammoth’s shed their worn teeth many times. When a young one is found it is the result of disease, disaster or predators like the dire wolf or the sabre tooth cat. This tooth is in nice condition with much of the root structure still intact. It measures 4 1/4" by 2 7/8" by 2 1/8" approximately.
