Gypsum Sand Crystals
Gypsum sand crystals are formed when sandsize gypsum crystals trap sand inside when forming1. These crystals are found in sandy areas and may be brown or gray and opaque due to the sand inclusions1. Gypsum is composed of hydrated calcium sulphate and takes many forms, occurring as tabular, bladed and diamond shaped crystals, fibrous form, and in compact, granular masses, and as rosette shaped aggregates with included grains of sand2314. There are four varieties of the mineral gypsum: selenite, satin spar, desert rose, and gypsum flower
