Elaborate Inlayed Traditional Folk Musical Instrument Rubab Robab Rabab
Traditional Folk Musical Instrument Afghanistan Rubab Robab Rabab with mother of pearl inlay. Hand crafted from wood with intricate mother of pearl inlay and accents. Needs new strings but is in excellent condition past that. The rubab dates back to the 7th century CE and has been mentioned in old Persian texts. It’s a traditional instrument found in countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Iraq, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and even in China’s Xinjiang province. This is a very ornate example of the type. It measures 34 1/2".
