7 1/16" Sedalia Preform found in Cooper County, Missouri
7 1/16" Sedalia Preform found in Cooper County, Missouri. A good example of the staging done for a sedalia spear. On this piece they were working from the bottom up using a fairly thick preform. They stopped when they got in to a limestone and quartz section in the stone and likely just picked up a different rock that was easier to make a blade from.
