Pre-Columbian Mayan Statue found in Central America - 250-900 CE
Pre-Columbian Mayan Statue found in Central America. Likely the statue of an elderly chief sitting with many adornments and jewelry portrayed in the sculpture. Material appears to be a brown pottery with black inclusions. This piece has been glued back together at the shoulders as shown in photos. Demonstrates correct manufacture and excellent patination. This statue measures 9 1/2" tall and 4 3/8" wide.
