3 1/8" Ocellated Turkey Pre-Columbian Mayan Flint Eccentric
3 1/8" Ocellated Turkey Pre-Columbian Mayan Flint Eccentric. A very rare form this may also be called a Thunderbird Eccentric by Many Collectors. To us it appears to be a turkey and the Ocellated Turkey is the species that would have been present in South America where this piece was made. It is finely made from a high grade semi-translucent chert. Manufacture is correct for the type and good patination is easy to see.
