Lot 530:
Early 20th Century Jacobus Strainer Violin w/ Bow and Case - 22 1/4"
Wood is in very good condition for its age. Minor split at the bottom of the top of the violin as shown in photos. Comes with several old strings still in their original packages, case, Violin Bow, protective case cover and original bridges as shown in photos. Fellow that had this pass me down has it strung with dental floss for display on a couple of the cords. Shouldn’t take a lot to get this one back up and running. Jacobus Stermer Violins were so renowned that they were reproduced up in to the first part of the 20th Century. There were many made with intention of passing them off as an original. This one was honestly represented and has a Stamp on the interior that reads "Copy of Jacobus Strainer" Violin measures 22 1/4". Case is 28 1/2"" by 9" by 3 1/8"
Condition: Authentic
