Late 19th/Early 20th Century Copper Dove Betel Box - Asian
Late 19th/Early 20th Century Antique Metal Copper Standing Dove bird shaped Betel Box. The lidded container is intricately etched and covered in floral and geometric designs Hand made in an Islamic Style found in Afghanistan. It was probably used as a betel nut box, tobacco or as a tea caddy. Finely constructed this piece is in excellent condition and museum quality in its construction. Has some green patination as shown in photos. 7 1/4" Long and 4 3/4" tall.
