RARE! Nicely Made 3 1/2" Obsidian Engraver or Knife found on Easter Island
Nicely Made 3 1/2" Obsidian Engraver or Knife found on Easter Island. This is an outstanding example with excellent patination. If there is a specific name attributed to this tool type we didn’t find it. The few that are shown in images on the web are referred to as spears which doesn’t make sense. These were likely used as knives and for working wood. The stem that they exhibit was likely where a short handle was hafted. Authentic stone tools from that part of the world is something we rarely see.
Condition: Ancient Authentic
