18th-19th Century Hand Carved Sculpture/Statue of St Vincent Ferrer 15"
18th-19th Century Hand Carved Sculpture/Statue of St Vincent Angel of the Apocalypse. Could be older. This statue appears to have been originally gold gilt which can be seen in spots where the paint is chipped. The main body of this statue is carved from one piece of wood and the head a separate piece of wood. The head sits snugly on top. At one time there was aa right arm attached. St Francis like Christ could raise the dead and done many other miraculous feats. Reported as acquired midcentury in the Philippines. This is a very old sculpture/carved statue. Nice restoration candidate. Measures approximately 15" tall.
