2 3/8" Jade Pendant Found in Liaoning Province Northeast China Neolithic Hongshan Culture. 5000 BC to 300 AD. Appears to be white jade. Under a microscope this piece looks great. Patination is light which is usually the case on the harder stones found in the region. Craftsmanship is a lot of hand work with the light scratches and pecking associated with ancient manufacture methods which is how the ancient ones are supposed to be. Very nice and detailed pendant.
