1 1/4" Fused Quartz Neolithic Bird Pendant found in Northeast China
1 1/4" Fused Quartz Neolithic Bird Pendant found in Northeast China. 5000 BC to 300 AD. Fused quartz is normally created by a lightning strike on sand. In China they attribute a lot of the fused quartz to a meteor strike that happened in the distant past that caused the same reaction when hitting the desert sand. Masters at fashioning artistic objects from hard stones ancient man in China used this material to make things which are very impressive.
