Brass Temple Statue of a Foo Dog from India. The Foo Dog is a cross between a lion and a dog and is sometimes called the Chinese lion. It’s a symbol of strength, power, and protection. This would of been placed outside at the entrance to a temple to protect the temple being a male foo dog. This is a large and heavy statue at 11 1/w inches tall. There is 1 spot of damage to a decorative piece on top shown in pictures. This and many of the other items we have in this sale are almost impossible to get so don’t miss this opportunity to add these very rare pieces of history to your collection.
