3 1/2" Banded Slate Bannerstone - Modern Made or Enhanced
3 1/2" Banded Slate Bannerstone – Modern Made or Enhanced. The surface on this piece gives it away to either being modern or brightened up. Collectors in decades past would often resurface the old ones they found to show off the stones color on this material. Banded slate can patinate to a point where it isn’t very attractive. Past that manufacture is correct.
