Elaborate Colonial Silver Filigree Necklace
Elaborate Colonial Silver Filigree Necklace. Very elaborately hand crafted silver necklace likely 1600’s or 1700’s. The Cord on the necklace is twisted silver with silver beads. The Pendant is two layers of intricately designed Hearts. We haven’t seen a necklace like this to compare it to. The craftsmanship in this piece is very detailed. The twisted silver cord of the necklace has frays as shown in photos in a couple locations. This is a very nice piece that was likely worn in Early European occupation of the United States. It measures approximately 25" diameter and the Pendant is 1 1/2" by a little over 1 3/4". Weighs 36 grams.
