Outstanding Large Neolithic Quartz Bead found in Northern Africa
Outstanding Large Neolithic Quartz Bead found in Northern Africa. Normally we put beads in a group but this one is one of the finest we have seen of its type. It is made of high quality ferruginous quartz, highly polished and has outstanding drilling to the center from both sides that nicely meet up inside the center of the piece where they just left the hole big enough to get the cord through. It measures 1 3/4" x 3 /4" diameter. This would have been the center piece for whatever necklace it adorned.
