6 Fossilized Bones
6 Fossilized Bones. All 4 bones or section of bones are in a fossilized state which takes approximately 10,000 years to occur. Could be from the late Pleistocene or much older. Not sure what kind of animals these pieces came from. They are from the late Eldon Launer Collection (Illinois). Eldon gathered things from all over and didn’t write on these to give indication of where they were found. Largest fossil is 4 3/4". The larger bone and the tooth have good weight with a nice solid texture while the other 4 are a bit more chalky on the surface.
