Lot 345:
1700's Spanish Migueliete Pistol that was Converted to a Cap & Ball Gun
1700’s Migueliete Pistol that was Converted to a Cap & Ball Gun. Very nice display piece of early European Americana and ingenuity. This old gun likely came over with the Spanish up the Mississippi to our area before the Louisiana Purchase. Needing something with a little more range and accuracy to more effectively take down game early explorer’s or settlers converted this gun from a pistol to a cap and ball long gun. Lever and trigger mechanisms still appear to be in working order and over all this gun is in great shape for its age. It measures 49" Long.
