Neolithic Jade Bi 4" Found in Northern China Shanxi Province. 5/16" Thick with the right surface wear and minerals on the surface. From these earliest times they were used as a sky symbol, accompanying the dead into the after world or "sky", with the cong which connected the body with the earth. Estimated age is 2400-3500 B.C.
